DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL RESOLUTION WILL GO TO HOUSE VOTE As NYSACRA reported last week, on Wednesday, October 22, 2003, the U.S. Senate approved the Direct Support Professional Recognition Resolution (S.Con.Res. 21) by unanimous consent, and we asked for your help in carrying the momentum of the Senate’s passage over to the House for this week. In the House, the Direct Support Professional Recognition Resolution (H.Con.Res 94) is set to be voted upon by tomorrow, and is sponsored by Representatives Pete Sessions (R-TX) and Lois Capps (D-CA) and currently has 42 additional co-sponsors, but still only three are from New York (Reps Michael R. McNulty (CD 21), Maurice D. Hinchey (CD 22) and John M. McHugh (CD 23). This Resolution will move to the House floor for a vote as soon as tomorrow.
