SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!
Visit Our New Website at www.nysacra.org |
| Same Web Address - Great New Look! | The NYSACRA website now has an exciting new look with many new features to go along with it. Log on to www.nysacra.org, and you’ll find interactive forums and discussion groups; News & Views, NewsBreak and the NYSACRA Network archives; up-to-date OMRDD and Federal Regulations; NYSACRA schedule of events and personal calendars; conference registrations; and for those of you traveling to Albany during the winter months – Weather Reports! You will even be able to create your own forums to discuss “hot topics” like Quality Assurance, Workforce, and Clinical issues. Please logon today to browse and check out our new look.
Once you enter www.nysacra.org you will find three levels of access. The first level is set-up for anonymous or casual browsers who just surf around the site. The second level requires the user to register, and once you do you will be given immediate access to some areas. The third level of access is a Members-Only area to provide NYSACRA members specialized information, forums and benefits. Access to this level will be granted to any employee of a NYSACRA member agency or affiliate in good standing.
Most of you will want to register in the second level as users or in the third level as members, but if you choose not to register, you can still view the site with great ease in the first level.
Once on the site, you will find two places to find the registration link: | | 1. At the top of the Home Page, just to the right of the date and above the NYSACRA logo; click-on "Log-in/Create an account."
OR | | 2. Near the bottom of the left-hand Navigation menu under "User's Login"; click-on "New User? Sign Up!" | | | | When you click on "Log-in/Create an account" or "New User? Sign Up!" you come to a page that lets you "Log-in," "Register" or "Retrieve Lost Password". |
| | | | When you click on "Register" you will come to an age verification page, and assuming you click "over 13", you are taken to the New User Registration page. Create a "User Name" using no spaces between letters - you may use your name or anything you prefer, and then you will be asked to enter your email twice; you must check-off the Terms of Use and Privacy box, and you can opt to have "others view my email", and then click the "New User" button. Now check your email for the password we sent to you. Next enter your User-Name and copy that password into the password box. once you click "Log-In Now!" you are now a registered user! You may want to immediately change the original password we sent to you to something you will remember or has more meaning to you. | If you used the top "Login/Create an account" to register, you will find yourself at the "Your Account" page. If you didn't, then simply click on "Your Account" on the menu to the left. From here you can change all of your settings, including your password. Click on "Change Your Info," then enter the new password in the correct box and click to save. |
| | | | From the "Your Account" page you can also customize your weather, set up a personal menu with your own favorite links, and add optional personal information.
If you don't log-out, your account will remain active for a week. If your computer is in an unsecured location, you may want to use the log-out button. When you return to the NYSACRA website at www.nysacra.org you only need to Login again.
To become a NYSACRA Member's only user (Level Three access), just click on the Membership link in the middle top of the page, above the Welcome message, and fill out the form. (Note: This link is only visible to registered users.)
In the next few months, we will be adding and editing many areas of the site - so please check back often. With our new "official" website, we will be able to offer many great features and, while keeping in better contact with our membership, we will be able to serve you better. Now browse around and enjoy!
Note: The NYSACRA Logo and clouds is done with Macromedia Flash and requires the plug-in. If prompted, please say, "yes" to install the Macromedia Flash Player. |
