preliminary local reviews of provider agency proposals based on;
Population to be served; Prior capital commitments; Source of
operating funding; Project type; and Relationship to NYS OPTS
proposal(s). If you have any questions, please feel free to call

MEDICARE PART D FORMULARY
COMPARISON
Posted on the NYSACRA website at:
www.nysacra.org/nysacra/pdp_drug_coverage_3-16-06.pdf is an
updated Prescription Drug Plan formulary comparison chart sent to
us by OMRDD developed by Chem Rx. Many of the medications used by
our cognitively impaired individuals are compared across NYS
benchmark plan formularies. It may be helpful to you. In
addition, don’t forget that the grace period for people enrolled
in Part D in January, February and March for plans to make
transition fills, of drugs not on their formulary or in higher
tiers, expires at the end of this month. To continue transition
fills for prescriptions will require the filing of timely
exception requests with the plans. CMS offers a link to their web
tool materials at
http://www.cms.hhs.gov/partnerships/18_transition.asp. It
contains a host of information about transition fills, individual
rights, exception and appeals process, working with doctors and
pharmacists, etc. You may find these useful.
Pre-NYSACRA Conference Golf at
the Sagamore
We have again arranged for a
special price for golf at the nationally acclaimed Sagamore Golf
Course for the Tuesday preceding our annual conference.
Conference participants will be charged $70 for greens fees for
Tuesday. Unfortunately, there is a tournament scheduled for
Tuesday morning and the earliest we will be able to get on the
course is 1:30. Please contact Jim Kosakoski at NYSACRA if you
are interested in taking advantage of this discounted rate.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION REMINDER
If you have registered for a hotel
for the conference you still need to register for the conference
with NYSACRA. Hotel registration and conference registration are
two separate and distinct items. You need to register directly
with the hotel for accommodations and directly with NYSACRA for
the conference. A copy of the NYSACRA registration form is on our
website at
