MEDICARE PART D UPDATE
|
| |
Please note that individuals enrolled in plans that will no longer
function as benchmark plans in 2007 will be notified early in
October by the plan and, during the last week of October will
receive a CMS mailing telling them of the new plan that they are
being auto assigned to effective January 1, 2007. CMS recommends
that individuals make an changes in plans before December 15th to
ensure that the new plan is in place by January 1st. We will share
information on the benchmark plans for 2007 as soon as it is
received from CMS. Please see the NYSACRA website at
www.nysacra.org or click the following links for two CMS
documents that explain key milestone activities that will occur
for the remainder of this year to implement Medicare Part D for
2007.

JIM BOLES,
PRESIDENT & CEO, PEOPLE, INC. -APPOINTED TO PRESIDENTIAL
COMMISSION
|
| |
It was a typical Tuesday afternoon until the White House called.
People Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer James M. Boles,
Ed.D., received a call from the Whitehouse informing him that he
was selected by President George W. Bush to sit on the President’s
Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities (PCPID).
Congress member Thomas Reynolds (R), Clarence, nominated Dr.
Boles. One of Dr. Boles focus areas will be the history of
disabilities.
The President's Committee for People with Intellectual
Disabilities (PCPID), formerly The President's Committee on Mental
Retardation (PCMR), is a federal advisory committee, established
to advise the President of the United States and the Secretary of
The Department of Health and Human Services on issues concerning
citizens with intellectual disabilities, coordinate activities
between different federal agencies and assess the impact of their
policies upon the lives of citizens with intellectual disabilities
and their families.
Congratulations, Jim! |
