MMIS BILLING PROBLEM
The Department of Health (DoH) contacted OMRDD today to inform them that Computer Sciences Corporation had a problem processing HIPAA compliant MMIS claims. Consequently, any claims submitted after 11am on December 21, 2004 will not be paid until January 3, 2005. The claims normally would be paid with a check date of December 27, 2004. They will now be paid with a check date of January 3, 2005 (check release date 1/19/05). If agencies have a problem with the delay in payment they can contact John Burke at DoH to get an early release of the payment. John Burke can be reached at (518) 474-8160.
