· DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PLANNING COUNCIL AWARD
|
| |
NYSACRA is pleased to announce that Executive Director, Ann Hardiman, is the recipient of the DDPC's Community Leader of the Year award. Her award is based on "a demonstrated commitment to the support and development of activities to enhance the independence, productivity and community integration of individuals with developmental disabilities. "
Ann's award was presented to her by Tamelia Fritz, a member of the DDPC consumer caucus, who said: "Besides her warmth and charm, Ann is an honest person with a big heart for those might not have a loud enough voice to speak for themselves.
Ann has surrounded herself at NYSACRA with staff dedicated to serving persons with disabilities. She has dedicated her life to helping persons with disabilities speak out so that they can have the same privileges as the others around them." We couldn't have said it better ourselves! Ann was joined by NYSACRA President, Tom McAlvanah, First Vice President, Steve Klein, Steve Holmes and David Liscomb of the Self-Advocacy Association of NYS , and the NYSACRA staff on September 17th at the DDPC's 23rd Annual Achievement Awards. Please join us in extending congratulations to Ann for her well-earned recognition.
